If you use michaelhays.com...
Follow these rules:
Don't use any of the copyrighted text and images on the site without Michael's permission. You are violating federal law if you use copyrighted images without permission. Earning income from the use of artwork is how an illustrator makes a living, and it has become more and more difficult in the world of digital media for an illustration business to survive.
Request permission before using images.
If you are a student or teacher and using a few images for a school project, you can claim Fair Use under the law. This also applies to journalists who use a few images in connection with reviewing a book.
But for most uses of these copyrighted images and text, you must ask permission. There might be a fee charged, but you will be part of Michael's team and supporting his business.
